I got new socks

This may seem mundane to some, but I find, and Albus Dumbledore quite agrees, that new socks can be very exciting. They're the only article of clothing, I feel, that are never better than the first time you wear them. Everything else tends to get broken in for the better, finding its groove, loosing its stiffness, gaining familiar comfort. Socks just get dirty, stretched, holey (not to be confused with holy), smelly, or by some tiny chance if they do not spoil, you always lose one anyway. New socks are divine. They are the transcendent form of socks. Plato would say, "New socks are good." Who am I to disagree with Plato?
