Back From Another Hiatus
Wow. It's been a really long time since I've posted anything. I'm not exactly sure why. Let's blame it on laziness.
I got a job last Monday. I started Tuesday. Quit Thursday. Let's just say I went with a gut feeling that I really shouldn't have been there and leave it at that.
So now school at Chatham High School ends tomorrow, and I'm officially out of work. I have a couple prospects, but nothing set in stone yet, which makes me nervous, but I'm rolling with it.
I'm gonna use this blog to do some "mewants" as Katy calls them. She did a "mewants" page a few weeks ago, and I found it very entertaining and fun. It's also an opportune time to do a "mewants" post because my 24th birthday is a little more than two months away, and I can pretend I'm still a child who's mother has asked her to make a list. She's asked me to do no such thing, but I felt like doing this so NYAH! Now, I know two months seems like a long time away when you say "two months", but when you say those two months are July and August, and since everyone knows how fast July and August go by, then you must now understand that my birthday is OH SO close. And therefore, its not silly or selfish of me to compile this "mewants" list for two very important reasons. 1) We've established that my birthday is relatively close so its acceptable for me to be thinking ahead for it, and 2) Under no circumstances is this list meant to be anything but FUN. I do not expect anyone to buy me these things...UNLESS they ABSOLUTELY want to. 0:)
Here are some T-shirts that I think are either hilarious or fun or both.

Since links for these last two pictures don't seem to want to work view the pink and blue one HERE, and the brown one HERE.
College Ruled is my personal favorite.
BUT, speaking of Lost merchandise! CHECK THIS OUT!
And (tho this is slightly post birthday) the second season of Lost comes out on DVD September 5, as does the first season of the new Doctor Who series on July 4, and Lucky Number Slevin on August 22. Those are some "mewants" as well.
Ahh, next, we have a beautiful, and beautifully expensive website called The Pyramid Collection. I get the catalogue, for some reason, and its really fun to go through. I find something I want on just about every page, but alas, its all a little bit out of my price range when it comes to stuff like this. Here are some of the "someday-me-really-wants".
This bracelet quotes J.R.R Tolkien, and it actually refers to Aragorn (or Strider depending on how you'd prefer to refer
to him). The quote is just one line from an entire poem about him. "All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king." The last four lines are actually spoken by Arwen in the movie when Anduril is being reforged. Wow, did I geek out enough for you just then? Anyway. I really love the line, and have a pin in my car that reads it.
I don't have much to say other than I LOVE THIS RING. I would want this as a wedding ring. I love the gold and the silver together. I love the interlocking knots. I love that shape, the size, everything.
And lastly from Pyramid is this beautiful shawl. At least, that's the last thing I could find on the net. There's a ton more in the catalogues I'll just have to casually show my mum.
Well, I think that should do it for now. Frankly because, putting in these pictures and linking them to the sites is getting no longer fun, and starting to feel like work.
Have a lovely evening!
