My Trip to the ER
On Sunday, I got back to Medford from a wonderful Thanksgiving break, during which I got to play with my puppies, see Alex and Brielle and Carman and Tim whilst enjoying "my band," eat lots of yummy turkey in Plymouth, MA, and play nintendo Wiii with Katy and company (Yo, you should see our River).
For me, Thanksgiving-Christmas needs to be Christmasy...especially when I'm away from my family. Therefore, I brought my family's fake Christmas tree back up to Medford to decorate my room with. Well...I should have eaten something, anything at all at some point in the day, before I decided to take on the tree.
As it turns out, silly me brought the tree but not the stand. So I ended up having to duct tape the thing to the floor to make it stand upright, which it still does not do. Anyway, I suppose the not eating made me a bit woosy and I fell (don't worry, I was in the kneeling position) chin first into the christmas tree and cut my chin pretty deeply.
After consulting a couple housemates, we decided that I probably needed stitches so Mallory took me to the ER and I got 4. Oh what a wonderful Christmas tale that was. We tell everyone I was in a gang fight though. And according to Mel, the other fighter was Santa Claus. Sure whatever.
Well, here's the finished product of my plight and hardship...totally worth it I think.
